Biljana's story

Biljana Bogovac

I joined the Assurance Department in the PwC Belgrade office in 2003. From 1991 to 2003 I had lived in Sidney, Australia, where I finished my studies and started my professional career. In 2000, I was admitted to membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA).
Working in PwC I have gained extensive professional experience, met many important and interesting business people and acquired numerous friends and acquaintances. During my long and rich career as an auditor in PwC I have often had the opportunity to travel to other European countries where, as a member of PwC international team of experts, I participated in a wide range of projects, including trainings for employees. All this, together with my engagement in professional development of PwC employees in Belgrade, has made my career very interesting and successful.
In addition to working directly with clients, my position as a Director also implies working with employees, i.e. delivering in-house training to employees and providing them with personal and professional guidance. A few years ago we in the Assurance Department came up with the idea to start a new service – training programmes for both PwC employees and clients. Delivering professional training and providing support to employees while working on different projects are very challenging aspects of my job but, nevertheless, very inspirational. All new joiners, once they join PwC, can count on professional help and support from our managers and directors, which means that all our knowledge and our every success will multiply and reproduce with each new person we employ.
In addition, despite all professional commitments, I have managed to find a way to dedicate myself to my family, and as a mother of three children enjoy that aspect of my life, too. I can say that PwC is a company which encourages and supports its employees in achieving their personal goals and ambitions.

Tanja's story

Tanja Gligorevic

I joined PwC as an auditor in 2003. During my career as an auditor I was engaged in a large number of consulting projects which was followed by a need, and my desire, to turn completely towards business advisory services. As a result, in 2005 I moved to the Advisory Department as a manager, and I still work there but now as a Director.
At the time when I started working in the Advisory Department, it was still something new in the Serbian market, which was a challenge in itself. For this reason all of us in the Advisory Department faced numerous problems on a daily basis, but at the same time we had the opportunity to learn and develop ourselves and our team. Today, our team can provide our clients with services equal in quality to the services provided by our colleagues in PwC London or the New York offices. Managing teams and due diligence projects in those circumstances was not an easy task. There were new and more demanding assignments in front of me which implied greater responsibility but also an opportunity for further professional development allowing engagement in more complex projects. Subsequently, in 2005 I was promoted to Senior Manager.
In mid-2006, I was given the opportunity to go to the PwC office in Moscow and be part of the Russian team specialised in buying and selling companies. In PwC Russia I gained invaluable international experience, particularly given the size and significance of the Russian market in the global economy. I successfully conveyed the experience I had gained in such a dynamic environment to my co-workers in Belgrade office and helped them improve their professional knowledge and skills. I would like to point out that one great advantage of working in PwC is the possibility to exchange information, knowledge and experience with your colleagues not only from your office but from PwC offices all over the world.
In 2009 I was promoted to the position of Director. This brought me new assignments as well as a new level of responsibility with a view to the development and expansion of both advisory services and business operations of PwC Serbia. No doubt this came as a result of a continuous process of learning, development and acquiring new knowledge and skills through different professional training programmes PwC employees can attend in European countries.
After seven years in PwC I can say that PwC is definitely a company which gives you the opportunity to work in a young and ambitious environment, show your quality of work and continuously develop yourself.

Tamás's story

Tamás Lőcsei

I joined PwC in 1997 when I was still at university, so I was able to gain valuable professional experience and develop a wide network of contacts already at a young age.
As a career starter I bravely chose to deepen my knowledge in a field (customs and indirect tax) in which specialization was still uncommon. Thanks to his unrelenting commitment and innovative ideas, customs and indirect tax have become an integral part of PwC’s service offerings. My team has also garnered increasing recognition for their achievements, and I was promoted to Partner in 2005.
If you work hard, believe in yourself, discover the opportunities, have good ideas that can benefit the firm, you will get the necessary support to develop your full potential. Throughout my years with the firm, I have also learned to be disciplined: courage and inventiveness mean nothing if you can’t put your skills to use in a team and achieve success together. I’m proud that my team and I have introduced something new, and feel privileged to have worked with brilliant colleagues day by day to increase our expertise in this field, and of course the profits.
