Every year we conduct a large-scale survey among CEOs of the world's major companies for better understanding the matters on the agendas of global business leaders. The results of the survey are made public at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Every year, around 1,500 top managers from around the world take part in this survey. They share their opinions with us on how much changes in the global economy affect the development of their industries and companies, where they see opportunities for future growth and the targets they set for their business in both the short- and long-term.

Russia is an integral part of the global economy and many Russian companies have long been major players in the international arena. Thus, based on the international business community's interest, we have been publishing a Russian edition of the Annual Global CEO Survey since 2013. This report contains detailed, objective and timely information based on a survey of leading CEOs in Russia. In order to generate a more global view, we have compared the answers given by Russian CEOs to a series of questions with the responses of their counterparts in BRICS countries, China, Western Europe, the USA, and throughout the rest of the world.

This year, we surveyed 1,344 top-managers from 60 countries, including 56 Russian CEOs.

We've named the 2014 survey "In Search of New Foundations", since Russian CEOs commented that the country requires sweeping and fundamental changes that would be monumental for business development. Furthermore, Russian top-managers, as with CEOs in other countries, are on the lookout for new areas of support within their own companies in order to progress further, successfully introduce game-changing technologies and keep up with consumer preferences.

In order to generate a more thorough analysis, in Q4 2013, we held eight in-depth interviews with CEOs of companies operating in Russia. You will find their quotes in the report, as well as more detailed excerpts and video clips, on this page.

We would like to express our gratitude to all CEOs, who shared their time, opinions and forecasts with us. In the face of the wide-scale integration of the Russian business community in the global economy and its influence on the country's business, our survey shows the unique insight and thoughts of CEOs working in Russia.

Enjoy reading the 17th Annual Global CEO Survey and watching the interviews!
