Recent developments in Russian pricing regulation

The pharma industry can pride itself on remaining one of the most stable industries despite the economic downturn. However, with the crisis impacting all aspects of our lives, changes have been triggered which inevitably influence pharma market operations. The recent tightening of governmental control over medicine prices has caused market players to search for new solutions to survive in the challenging environment.

On 29 October 2009 PricewaterhouseCoopers organized a seminar analyzing the difficulties currently faced by international pharma companies and discussing possible responses to market challenges. Moreover, during the event participants took part in interactive voting, the participants had an opportunity to explain why they chose their particular responses and then panel members were asked to give their points of view.
