PwC Russia has organised a conference on 22 November — “Wind of Change: How are HR professionals facing current challenges?”. The conference brought together business leaders, HR directors and HR professionals to challenge prevailing HR stereotypes and explore how best to adapt HR practices to the needs of the local market.
Given the scope of change that has taken place in Russia and neighbouring countries, companies must constantly be prepared to quickly adapt to shifting environmental pressures. These developments also call for strong HR professionals capable of driving change and advising organisations on how to turn HR challenges, such as developing a talent pipeline, delivering quality services, and keeping employees energised, into winning practices.
The conference featured Professor Dave Ulrich, a world-class speaker and author of widely recognised concepts on transforming HR and increasing business value through building HR capabilities and organisations. It will start off with a presentation on the available approaches that HR professionals can take in coping with these demands.
The lecture was followed by a panel discussion, with HR directors from major companies discussing how best to apply these tools in various business contexts. They shared the best practices of global companies active in Russia and Russian companies moving into global markets, as well as domestic companies seeking to become local champions. Participants focused on what has worked for them in the HR transformation process and what approaches can add value and support organisational strategies.
