On 20 March 2014 PwC held the forum «Recent developments in employment and migration law». Recent developments in Russian employment law have set out new objectives, as well as created new difficulties and uncertainties.
This regular PwC event was focused on pivotal developments in employment and migration laws along with their potential impact on businesses and their employees. We took a specific look the classification of civil law contracts as employment agreements, professional standards, and the Russian government's legislative agenda with respect to employment law.
In addition, we discussed the legal implications of these new developments and their impact on additional guarantees and compensations provided to employees upon assessment. The event's final panel was devoted to recent changes in migration law and their impact on employment relations with foreign employees as well as common risks identified during payroll reviews.
