  • Full legal support on employment issues for a major downstream oil-and-gas company in connection with its relocation to another region. The project’s complexity was rooted in the application of a variety of available employment law tools and the extended period of the project, which involved resolving union and retention issues, among others. Legal support and implementation was carried out at all levels, from developing a strategy to drafting documents for the staff of all company divisions (about 450 employees).
  • A leading role in supporting a major sports event in Russia to apply employment law, and develop internal policies for staff and volunteers involved in preparing for and holding the event. This is the first project in Russia that involves the short-term engagement of thousands of people.
  • Advising one of the world’s largest integrated telecoms service operators on a project for interacting with trade unions and providing support on other employment issues. This project was unique due to gaps in employment legislation regarding trade unions and the need to develop appropriate recommendations under such circumstances.
  • Rendering ongoing legal advice to a global liquid transportation leader regarding its business activities in Russia, including issues related to the CEO’s employment with various entities within the client’s corporate group, and structuring executive compensation and benefits for the CEO, as well as business trips and employee use of company property (including vehicles), and support on other issues.
  • Advising a global leader in the production and sale of FMCG products on inbound secondments to Russia and certain outbound aspects of assigning the client's Russian employees to CIS countries under secondment agreements. Our legal support covered various aspects of the secondment relationship structure, the applicable law, and practical advice on how the client company could minimise risks when entering into secondment relationships, factoring in its specific business needs.
  • Developing a stock option plan for top management of a major Russian stock exchange. The project involved developing a plan structure and implementing the stock option plan, taking into account the lack of a specific legislative framework governing option plans in Russia. -
