Providing meaningful and reliable information to support the management decision-making process has never been so actual. Increased global competition and emerging opportunities on the one side and tightening regulatory requirements on the other are forcing companies to revise their capabilities and change their approach to running the business.

Our survey was designed to review corporate management practices in Russia and examine the existing opportunities and development plans for corporate performance management (CPM) given the impact the volatile economic environment has had on approaches to business management.

The survey was structured based on the corporate performance management model developed by PricewaterhouseCoopers, which includes the following key components:

• Align: ensuring the company strategy is aligned with mid-term and short-term plans
• Evaluate: measuring, analysing and assessing performance indicators
• Sustain: corrective actions, personnel development and motivation

The survey also assesses the role played by IT in corporate performance management, as well as changes in approaches to management that have taken place in the unstable economic environment.
