Today, corporate performance management (CPM) is an integral part of any company. With the help of monitoring tools and performance assessments, it allows companies to transform strategies into quantifiable goals. CPM systems help management evaluate how well targets are being met and help ensure the timely introduction of any necessary changes. An objective picture is being formed based on an integrated analysis of management information at all levels of the corporate structure. Moreover, in fluid market conditions, the integration of strategic planning and budgeting is especially important.
The purpose of this survey is to review Russia’s current CPM practices and their potential development. The survey encompasses planning, budgeting and performance assessment processes, the CPM system’s alignment with incentive schemes and risk management, and information technologies used by companies in the CPM process.
