Moscow – July 1, 2013 – As leader of Government and Public Sector Services, Ekaterina will be responsible for delivering strategic and operational advisory services to Russian government institutions and public sector enterprises.
Born in Moscow, Ekaterina graduated in 1989 from the Russian People’s Friendship University (RUDN) with a degree in International Journalism. In 1991, Ekaterina completed postgraduate studies at the Political Science Department of RUDN; she holds a PhD. In 2009, she received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago under the EMBA programme.
In 1991-1992, she was a lecturer in the Mass Communications Department at RUDN; from 1992 through 1997 she worked with the Russian Red Cross Mission in Africa as a public relations specialist interacting with government authorities, international organisations, mass media and other stakeholders.
Subsequently, Ekaterina spent several years working in the high-tech sector. From 1997 to 2001, she was director of Marketing, Communications and Business Development with consulting firm Robertson & Blums Corporation, which provides information technology services; simultaneously, in 1999-2000 she worked as director of the Runet.com Internet project. In 2001–2003, she was marketing director at IBS.
Ekaterina joined PwC Russia's Moscow office in 2003 as director of Marketing and Corporate Communications; in 2008 she was appointed director of Marketing, Communications and Business Development. In 2009, she initiated the creation of the PwC Centre for Technology and Innovation (CTI) in Russia, which provides services to innovation-driven companies, regions, innovation centres and start-ups. In 2011 Ekaterina joined Advisory Consulting Services department and started to participate in the projects for government institutions and public sector enterprises.
In 2006-2008, Ekaterina led the Marketing and Corporate Strategy Committee of the Russian Managers Association (RMA), In 2012 she was appointed chairperson of the RMA's Professional Services Committee. Ekaterina has been included in the almanac Best Careers in Business and has been a repeat winner of the best managers ranking by the Kommersant Publishing House and RMA in the professional services nomination. In 2010, she received an ARISTOS business award. She has also been awarded the Meritorious Labour medal by the Russian Government.
