Three of the countries in the Central and Eastern Europe region have made significant steps towards regional and global economic integration. Serbia in April and Bosnia and Herzegovina in June signed the Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the European Union, and Ukraine became a member of the World Trade Organisation in May.
