For all the hype about cloud computing, there is very little real data available. The extent to which enterprises are planning for and adopting cloud computing as a replacement for traditional data center infrastructure technologies and management processes or how these plans might affect traditional IT outsourcing (ITO) service providers is unknown.
PwC surveyed about 500 business executives in an effort to understand the real state of data center management today and, more importantly, what the ultimate goal is—a complete shift to public cloud offerings or a transition to private clouds or a combination of both.
Survey results are outlined in this series of articles and graphics that examine and interpret these trends. To find out more please explore the project microsite.
