Alina Lavrentieva, partner, private companies services leader at PwC Russia traditionally participated in the Russian Forum of Small and Medium Enterprises in St. Petersburg and shared her opinion on the development of the value chains that have already become a global phenomenon.
The session explored the potential measures governments should implement to maximize the benefits of global value chains, regulation of the customs value of goods imported into Russia, the role of SMEs in the process of value chain development and other topics.
Alina Lavrentieva revealed the topic of doing business abroad as one of the possible tools for embedding into the global value chains. In particular, Alina spoke about the peculiarities of owning, financing and managing a business in a foreign jurisdiction and paid special attention to the most critical tax issues.
